Rod end bearings are used on the ends of cylinders or linkages to take up misalignment between two connected parts. Stocked are both male and female configurations and offer optional lubricator fittings. The bearings themselves have a spherically shaped inner ring and a cylindrical bore for shaft mounting. The outer surface of the outer ring allows for easy installation into any housing. These high capacity bearings are designed for superior performance in low frequency applications and have the ability to accommodate moderate shaft misalignments.There construction consists of two and four-piece types including self-lubricating models. They are designed to fit shafts ranging from .1900" to 1.0000" and from 3 mm to 12 mm in diameter.

A 1/2" I.D. Frelon bearing will carry as much load as a 1" I.D. ball bearing. Long service life for these self-lubricated bearings is another major benefit. Although wear rates are affected by surface finish, shaft hardness, length of travel, contamination and lubrication, these bearings last on average 4 to 8 times longer than ball bearings.The self-aligning bearings, identified as the BLAABX- and BLAUBXM Series, are stocked in precision and standard bore tolerances and in inch and metric sizes.
